Reservoir. This is now attached to the cylinder and can be mounted in one of 9 positions. Note 3 hoses instead of original 2. For this installation the location is inboard and opposite the trunnion.
Hoses disconnected. To install on Beatrix (KP44) I had to disconnect the hoses. Caps and Plugs for the flare fittings sealed the hydraulic fluid inside during installation, but bleeding will be required after connection.
Installing pump. Hydraulic hoses were encased in plastic hose to keep them safe. The underside of the floors contain projecting nail points and chafe protection is also important. In Beatrix, anyway, the way is clear from the hatch under the floorboards all the way to beneath the aft bunk.
Hatch in Passage. A new hatch was cut in the passageway with a 4 in. cordless circular saw and a jigsaw for the corners. Here, the hatch jambs are being held in place while the glue dries.
Finished Hatch. Spring loaded lift rings hold it in place.
